Good to know before you go

DO I HAVE TO DRIVE THE TIKI? No, all trips are run with a USCG licensed Captain to navigate the vessel safely and allow all onboard to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride!!! This is a good thing, there can be a lot of traffic and you won’t risk a BUI!

DO I NEED I.D. TO DRINK? Yes! We do card everyone that is drinking. So make sure you have a valid ID!

WHAT IS PROHIBITED YOU ASK? For starters, Guns, knives or any other kind of weapon. It is a Tiki boat after all. Secondly, illegal substances, ie drugs without prescriptions or any other narcotics that is controlled/illegal.

ARE THERE AVAILABLE LIFE JACKETS ON BOARD? Yes, there are type 1 PFD for every passenger. Along with a couple of child size jackets. Children 6 and under must wear a life jacket while underway. No exceptions! Call us in advance if you have any special requests or concerns. The Tiki also has a USCG first aid kit.

CAN MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE CRUISE AT THE SAME TIME? United States Coast Guard mandates only 6 passengers onboard, including children. NO EXCEPTIONS! At this time we can only accommodate a max of 6 on each vessel.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP LOCATIONS? We are located at Treasure Island Marina, Panama City Beach, FL. Boarding will be done right there in the slip. Please check in with the Captain upon arrival at the tiki boat.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED? YES, all ages are welcome! It’s such a unique experience and between the TiKi, captain and water, it will be hard to beat. Children age 6 and under are required to wear a life jacket while in transit. We have some on board, or you can bring your own (recommended, but it has to have a USCG approval stamp). Please let us know if you plan to bring children so that we can make the appropriate accommodations for life jackets. USCG only allows 6 passengers per boat... children are considered people too (not half people).

GROUP RESERVATIONS? If you have a party of 5-6, most of the time we recommend a private charter. There is a discount and that includes all 6 seats & the Captain.

HOW FAST DOES THE TIKI BOAT GO? TiKi Speed…sllloooowww enough you wont spill your drinks (its about the ride not the destination).

WHO IS MY CAPTAIN? All of our Captains have been vetted and are USCG Licensed Professionals.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION AND INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES? Bookings are non-refundable within 48 hours of your scheduled cruise. We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues. If your tour is canceled, you will be given a rain check to re-book at another time (this excludes behavioral, along with alcohol related cancellations - these circumstances will never be rescheduled or refunded). For weather related issues, we may "wait out" a brief shower, reschedule for another day during your stay, or refund if unable to reschedule. "NO SHOWS" will NEVER be refunded or rescheduled!

DO YOUR BOATS OPERATE IN THE RAIN? YES WE STILL HAVE FUN IN THE RAIN! We do operate in the rain as the tiki boats have a substantial thatch roof. However, the captain can decide at anytime to cancel due to conditions (typically high winds or thunder storms).

SHOULD I TIP MY CAPTAIN? YES, YES & YES. Our Captains do work for tips, so it is customary and appreciated. We suggest a 20% gratuity (per seat or charter) based on the service you get. They are very experienced, knowledgeable, and your safety is paramount! Given what we are about, we searched high and low for the most well rounded, charming and professional Captains in town.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR? 1.5HR Sunset and Lagoon Cruises that will cruise the Grand Lagoon, at the Captain’s discretion. The 3HR Trip will cruise around before heading out to a location based on the captain’s discretion (Sandy Point, Shell Island, and other beach/sandbar locations depending on current, winds, and marine traffic) where you ll get an opportunity to swim, float, snorkel and cool off.

WHAT CAN THE TIKI BOAT BE USED FOR? Besides relaxing with a cold drink we can pretty much accommodate anything you had in mind. Photo Shoots, Bachelor/ Bachelorette parties, corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings, Proposals and even your “wedding escape” from a waterfront property... you name it and we will try to make it work. Give us a call for special requests.

CAN I PLAY MY OWN MUSIC ON BOARD? Yes, we do have bluetooth capable 4.1 Kicker speaker system that can sync to your phone and choice of music.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND DRINK? We provide an ice filled cooler, water bottles, cups/shot glasses, bottle openers and bottled water. For food and alcohol, feel free to bring your own or you can order some from any restaurant on the water.

WHAT ABOUT RESTROOMS? Our tikis are NOT equipped with restrooms. We strongly encourage you to use the restroom before leaving the dock. So please do NOT drink more than you are able to "hold" while on your tour!

ARE DOGS ALLOWED? We love dogs but allow only Service Dogs on our vessels. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual. The performed must be directly related to the individual’s disability. According to the ADA, service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animals. The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. Due to the nature of our 3 hour excursion, the guest and the service animal may be required to remain on the vessel for the entirety of the trip. This is to ensure the guests’ safety as well as that of the the service animal, park wildlife, other guests, & Captain and Crew.
